DR. ASIKIA KARIBI-WHYTE

DR. ASIKIA KARIBI-WHYTE is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Jurisprudence and International Law University of Lagos. She holds degrees in Law from the following Universities: Ibadan, Lagos in Nigeria and Keele in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Karibi-Whyte has held visiting scholar positions at the Universities of York, McGill and British Columbia in Canada. She has served as visiting lecturer at the University of Chester, United Kingdom.

Dr. Karibi-Whyte’s research and writings are rooted in African Studies, Feminist Legal Theory, and International Law. Her book, “African Feminism: It’s Fundamentals” is a resource material for students of Gender and the Law. She loves reading and watching Athletic competitions.
